Cris Weatherby was born in Santa Monica, California. She graduated from Cal State Long Beach and moved to San Diego to attend graduate school at San Diego State University. She now lives in Encinitas with her husband Keith.
In her paintings, Cris displays a deep love of color, light and the beauty in ordinary elements of everyday life. She has a long term affection for the glorious designs to be discovered both close to home and in her travels. Painting gives her a special pleasure and a means to share her joy with others.
Paintings by Cris Weatherby have been shown at the San Diego Watercolor Society's Show Case Gallery, the Off Track Gallery in Leucadia and the gallery at the San Diego Hospice. She is currently an invited member of the artist's guild for the San Diego Museum of Art.
